EN1621-2:2014 - Back Protectors Standard

Motorcycle back protectors are an essential piece of safety equipment, designed to shield the spine from impact and penetration injuries in the event of a crash. They work by absorbing and dispersing energy across a wider area, rather than concentrating it at a single point.

There are different types available to suit varying levels of coverage: full back (FB), which includes the shoulder blades; centre back (CB), covering the spine; and lower back (LB), focused on the lumbar area.
