Sherrie Black Jacket

What do we all want from bike gear, comfort and protection. Unfortunately or fortunately I ended up putting this gear to the test. Yes I crashed my motorbike going a little faster than I should have been, after being flipped with the bike then rolling and sliding approx 20m uphill I got up and walked away. The jacket puckered and frayed a little a small hole going through to the lining my arms and upper body bruised but in tact. Getting ready to order another one but gonna try not to put them to the crash test again

AAA RATED.
The best you can get. Very stylish, flattering in all the right places. Can layer up over the top or underneath. Importantly its fully washable. Paired up with sherrie leggings. I bought this set when I was a 3xl. I am now in the XS size - this jacket is true to size.

I'm in love with this jacket! I'm 5' and got a size 10, fits lovely with room for a layer underneath. The material is stretchy and the lining is wow! My only complaint is that there are no Moto Girl logos anywhere on the outer jacket.

Love this jacket. Wore in cold and warmer weathers. It’s super comfy. And the armour is amazing!! My fav jacket by far!

Got the sherrie jacket to go with the leggings for the aaa rating. I’ve had the leggings over a year and they fit lovely and give me confidence in the safety rating. The jacket is comfortable and fits perfectly with the belt connector making you feel secure. I found there is quite a bit of airflow with the jacket in temperatures under 16° but in warmer temperatures absolutely perfect. I wore my outer wind/showerproof jacket over the top in the rain. I did get caught out on one downpour and got very wet BUT it’s not supposed to be waterproof so just for information. I would highly recommend this jacket. My Motogirl gear is my most comfortable and I have 2x cargos, dungarees leggings and this jacket. True to size and excellent quality. Keep up the good work!

Well and truly tested on a recent trip to Europe including the Alps as a pillion. Looks great, super comfortable and worked well in cooler temperatures down to 16° when combined with the Motogirl wind jacket underneath. Good in heat up to 25° but then started to think might be better with a more casual lighter lining to let more air in. It’s a real looker and doesn’t feel like a traditional motorcycle jacket. Armour removed and washed well on a “delicates” setting. Only downside is any contact with Velcro from gloves causes pilling - but that’s more down to me not checking the Velcro fastenings on my gloves - so the sleeve edges have got a bit fuzzed up. In summary, another win for Motogirl with this super cool jacket 👍

Motogirl may be a ladies motorware brand but it also a great fit for men who are looking for sculptured fit that is breathable and stylist. Recommend especially if you have a smaller physique. Having a stretch fabric is more comfortable when riding.

The fit is perfect

I wanted to find something with protection that I could wear out once I reach my destination. This is just perfect and the lining sets it off brilliantly. Really comfy, a great fit and nice and light.

Wore my new Sherrie jacket today for the first time on a 130 mile run. Lovely jacket, comfortable and fits well, (I'm a 5xl girl)... the only place it was a fraction tight was the lining around the armpits, however I wore it all day with no discomfort. Managed to fit two thin base layers under it, one being the motogirl mid-layer jacket, (helped it slide on better too) and only started to feel chilly when the temperature dropped below about 11°. I also bought the D30 Ghost armour back protector in medium, which fits into the back armour pocket in the jacket perfectly. I already had the zipped trousers which the jacket attaches to perfectly. SUPER pleased with all my purchases.

Wow, it's so comfortable and fits really well. I bought 2xl (size 18) . I've been complimented so many times since my purchase , which arrived on Thursday last week just in time for a great ride out with hubby to Wales the following day. Worn with base layer jacket underneath it was warm enough to not feel cold as it was a bit nippy when we set off (around 9°c) going up to 17°c in the afternoon. Nice and long at the back and I'm sourcing someone to sew in zip piece to be able to attach it to my leggings too. I'd recommend it you won't be disappointed.

I’m a very odd shape and I rarely find clothing that fits and also flatters my figure. This jacket is comfortable and fits all my strange dimensions. It’s instantly become my favourite item of my bike gear.

I bought the Sherrie jacket because I was fed up of ugly motorcycle jackets that look horrible on me! This is the first item I’ve bought from MotoGirl, so was unsure what to expect.

The good stuff:
The jacket is beautiful. Honestly you can’t tell it’s a motorcycle jacket, it looks really stylish! The armour is very subtle too - not like my other jackets which make you look like you’re playing some sort of high-impact sport and need massive shoulder protection. The material is lovely, the pockets are actually big enough to get my hands into and will hold my phone easily. It’s got a beautiful lining, too!

The bad:
There honestly isn’t much bad stuff I can say, however the jacket does get VERY heavy if you get caught in the rain. This happened to me and the jacket just absorbed every drop of rain like a sponge. So this is 100% a summer, hot weather, no-rain-forecast-at-all kind of jacket. My only other comment is that the lining is a little tight at the top of the arms - the jacket might be slightly stretchy, but the lining isn’t. I’m a size 10, I ordered a size 10, and while it fits perfectly through the body, those upper arms are just a smidge tighter than I’d like them to be.

Overall though I’m really happy with the jacket, I just wish MotoGirl made some winter gear too!

I love this jacket, I have the leggings too and they zip together with the belt zip perfectly.
